Altenew& Ellen Hutson UWF Poppy Field Blog Hop

24 September 2017

Welcome to the Altenew& Ellen Hutson UWF Poppy Field Blog Hop. If you have come from Carissa Wiley's blog then you are right on track.

Today the Poppy Flieds Stamp and die set is up for grabs and it is such a pretty set.

To celebrate two randomly selected commenters will win a $30 gift certificate to the Ellen Hutson shop and two commenters will win a $30 gift certificate to the Altenew shop. To enter just leave a comment on the Ellen Hutson Classroom blog or the Altenew blog by 12pm PST on Wednesday, September 27th.

I created a layout using the set and die. The die was used as mask when stamping the flowers. I kept the layout really simple and only added a couple of die cut leaves from the Altenew Fanstasy Floral die set. For the ink colors I went with the Red Sunset set and the Green fields set from Altenew.

To finish off the layout I used some Rouge Crisp ink that I watered down and splattered over the layout.

Let's catch up ....

17 September 2017

It is always the same... the SEPTEMBER whirlwind. Getting into a new schedule, driving kids to their after school activities etc... The days fly by without me even noticing. And then just like that it is the middle of the month.

I am working on quite a few projects which will be live by the end of the month. It has been a little difficult to create these last days as I lost my Popa last Thursday a little more than 8 months after my grandma Mam passed away.

Today I'll be sharing some of my creations for Altenew and later this week I'll be back with more projects.

For my first project I used the Bold Alphabet Dies as well as the Faux veneer stamp set. I used my favourite colours and introduced lots of white.

You can watch the process video here: Look Process video

The next project was made using the Circled Sentiments set. I created 3 projects and one was a card. I really enjoyed creating this one.  The Fantasy Floral  die is so amazing. It is one of my favourite products from Altenew at the moment.

This project is also made using the Circled sentiments set and I also used the Fantasy Floral  Die again.

And the last one was made using the Fantasy Floral die,

Altenew August 2017 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

23 August 2017

Welcome to the August 2017 release blog hop. If you have come from Laura Bassen 's blog, you are right on track.

I love this month's release as a lot of the products are FABULOUS items for scrapbooking.

To showcase the products I created this layout. I used the following sets: Charmed, Sweet Friend and Point it Out.

The layout only has two strips of patterned paper from the Reflection Scrapbook collection and I also added some enamel dots from the Card kit. All the other elements are made with stamps and ink.

You can see how the layout came together in HD on Youtube or just watch it below:

  • To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to THREE lucky winners. Leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog by Thursday, August 31st at 11:59 pm EDT for a chance to win.

July Citrus Twist kit and just for fun ...

19 August 2017

I had a wonderful time designing for Citrus Twist but decided not to reapply. I love working for Altenew and I felt I wasn't able to do both at the same time. I made this layout just before leaving on vacation and completely forgot to share it. I love the bright colours and think they match the goofy photo perfectly.

The following two layouts I made just for fun. They really are the best layouts because the whole process is completely free. I love making my assignments but there are always constraints to take into account. When I scrapbook for fun I just go with the flow.

I'm currently working on a new blog schedule that will start in September. I hope to have at least one post a week and will be adding a couple of new themed items and challenges.

Thank you for stopping by and if you have anything you'd like to see here just pop it in the comment section.

Happy Scrapping
