How does your garden grow?

27 March 2012

Well, mine is growing and that is such a relief because I started gardening when we moved into our new build two years ago. I am so hungry to learn but it is not easy. I thought I'd try and keep track of some of my plants and made a mini book. I also created a step by step tutorial which you can check out here on the American Crafts blog. I was a bit daunted by the bright colours of the Gardenia collection but they fit the theme so well. I just need to fill out the tags I made and pop them in!

Sunny Monday

26 March 2012

(SCRAPBOOK NOOK BLOG HOP is still open!!!!! click here!)

After a Happy Sunday what about a sunny Monday? I just love lovely warm weather and watching nature change. This post is all about colour and what better way to talk about colour than by showing a few projects I made using ColorsConspiracy.

First a layout, inspired by this graphic design I had pinned on pinterest (I am addicted!!!! This is just such a fabulous place for inspiration!!!!).

With Easter just around the bend I thought I'd make a card and some Easter baskets! The kids love them and the Easter Bunny can't wait to fill them! The baskets as well as the heart for the card and the word Easter were cut out using my new best friend Mr Cameo. Can't get enough of him!

Happy Sunday

25 March 2012

(SCRAPBOOK NOOK BLOG HOP is still open!!!!! click here!)

And what a Sunday it was. We had a big family reunion on my husband's side and it was soooo much fun. It's wonderful to see all of them after two years. Babies and kids have grown and there have been some new arrivals as well. We had the most wonderful barbecue and the kids are knackered and had the best fun in a long time!  I love moments like these and I could hit myself on head for forgetting my camera!!!! One of the uncles did snaps lots of pics so I am sure to get some!
Speaking of lovely moments here's another one! Moments I enjoy regularly throughout the week. Sitting on the floor in my office (here here to underfloor heating) just relaxing! I made this layout using lots of SwissGirlDesign Stamps and some Crate Paper goodies (just LOVE Crate Paper!!!!). Went for a somewhat grungy feel!

It's one of those colours I LOVE and I was so pleased it would be the theme at Crate Paper for the March Creative Weekly week. As I am in my homdeco mode I thought I'd make a frame. I was inspired by two pins:
here and here
This is what I made. Nothing really original but it makes me happy every time I see it!

Secret Storyteller

20 March 2012

People have always said to me that having boys is special because they have a special bond with their mother. I do have this bond with my boys but my husband has an amazing relationship with them too and  they love being with him. Dad  is there to go out and play football, he takes them on bike trips and goes for walks. I admire my husband for his devotion to our children and I am so proud of him. Seeing him with them fills my heart with joy. The photo I used in this layout shows how he is with our boys: LOVING, CARING and CLOSE.

ColorCombosGalore 223

19 March 2012

Yes, it's time for another color palette at CCG and I just LOVE this one. I love pale blue, yellow and soft light browns and the challenge was so up my alley: Journal about why your kid is so incredible. Well my 4 kids are incredible so the task was choosing who I would scrap about and I decided it would be Noé. Two years ago he was diagnosed with attention deficit and he had a hard time at school. It was even harder for him because his twin brother didn't have any problems. He has been so brave and in January he finished his sessions with the neuro-psychologist who said he was back on track and that all tests came back great. He has improved so much and I love it that he loves to learn.

Crate Paper Love

AC and Scor Pal blog hop: HERE

I just LOVE the new STORYTELLER collection from Crate paper and can't get enough of it. I have been working on a project for an article (that I can't show) but have ended up with lots of leftovers or cut outs from my cameo. I love the paper so much I didn't want to throw them out so I made this layout with it. This is what scrapbooking is about!

Thank you for all your sweet comments. They brighten my day!

Home Deco

18 March 2012

If you have come here for the AC-Scor Pal blog hop click HERE
In September it'll be 3 years that we moved into our new build (and there are still things to finish like the lighting!). We feel really at home but some walls and shelves still feel a bit bare so I decided I would start hanging pictures frames. And to spruce it up a bit I decorated them! Here is a small step by step tutorial how I made my two frames. I used SwissGirlDesigns stamps (LOVE them) and some of my Crate Paper stash.
Grab your supplies (stamps, frame, photo, stickers)
Layer different stickers one on top of the other

Stamp your journaling on to white cardstock (you could also print on to the cardstock if you don't have any stamps)
Cut out little banners and add to the frame.

This is how my two frames turned out:
