More halves

28 October 2016

In my previous post I talked about an article that I had written for Esprit Scrapbooking. The theme was halves and this layout is a second interpretation of it. Here I opted to use half of the page but I divided the page diagonally. I was a bit afraid that there would be too much white space but it looks so pleasing to the eye. I used scraps from older Dear Lizzy lines. I loved those polaroid frames.

I be back soon to share some DT work. Have a great weekend.

Happy Scrapping.

Half

25 October 2016

It is me again. Today I'll be sharing a new layout with you. I created it for Esprit Scrapbooking and the theme was halves. I created three layouts showing three different interpretations of halves and this is the first of the three layouts. I show the other two later on this week.
Here I divided the page in two and worked on the left hand side. The right with it's bold striped pattern doesn't need anything and the layout is balanced.
Stop by tomorrow to see layout 2.

A favourite of mine

24 October 2016

I stopped working for Esprit Scrapbooking a year ago and after 2 years it was hard and I still miss some aspects of it but it was just too much. With the children growing up and needing more help with their school work I just couldn't continue creating every month. It wasn't fun anymore. My last creations for them are some of my favourite and I can finally show them. Here is one which I LOVE. I adore the colours and the simplicity. It is not often I can say that I really love a layout.
What do you think?

Citrus Twist October kits

23 October 2016

Hi there. Just popping in to share my take on the Sunday sketch from last week from Citrus Twist. I loved working with the sketch even though I was a bit frightened when I saw I had to use a large photo but I managed to tweak that.
I used 4 smaller sized photos that I grouped to make a larger element just like in the sketch.

Here are two more layouts created with the October 2016 Waverly kit.

Here's a sneak of a layout I will be sharing tomorrow. Have a wonderful Sunday.
Happy Scrapping.

Working with Kraft

15 October 2016

Hello there everyone. Today I'll be sharing a layout I made using some leftover embellishments and kraft paper. I tend to use white cardstock as background but thought it would be nice to change things a bit and so I grabbed some kraft paper. I pulled out some embellishments that have been in my stash for a while and worked with what I had chosen.
One of my to go design starting points is to divide the page in two and work from that. Here I decided to work diagonally.
In one part I placed the photo/title and in the other the embellishments. It came together really quickly.

Thanks for stopping by. I'll be back Monday to share some of my Citrus Twist layouts.

MY FIRST

9 October 2016

Hi there everyone. I'm so excited to share my first layout for Citrus Twist. Here is a look at the October 2016 "Waverly" kit. I also got the Embellishment kit.

Embellishment kit

I was inspired by one of the patterned papers in the kit with tiny triangles. I decided to create a layout using this shape as main elements. I kept the triangles to the right and made sure to leave lots of white space. To soften the harsh straight lines of the triangles I broke them up by adding some scalloped punched out shapes and also placed the title over the largest triangle.

You can see all my work in the citrus twist gallery (although there isn't a lot just right now). I'll be uploading all my work there.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
